Product Manager

MCIM is seeking an experienced and innovative Product Manager to join our dynamic and fast growing team to lead requirements for MCIM’s cutting-edge data center management solution. Never having lost a customer, MCIM is fast becoming the leader in data center management. With three of the top four global data center colocation companies and eight of the top ten global banks as customers, MCIM is the emerging standard for data center operations excellence. As a Product Manager, you will play a critical role in defining the strategic capabilities, prioritization, and roadmap for the MCIM platform and modules, which encompass unified elements of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM), IT Service Management (ITSM), and IT Asset Management (ITAM).

Job Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap:
    • Develop and communicate MCIM’s product strategy and vision that aligns with the company’s strategy, overall goals and objectives.
    • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to identify market needs, trends, and opportunities.
    • Define the product roadmap, prioritize features and enhancements, and make data-driven decisions to drive product development.
  • Product Development and Management:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and QA to define product requirements, specifications, and user stories.
    • Work closely with development teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of product releases, taking into account technical feasibility and resource allocation.
    • Conduct user acceptance testing and gather feedback to iterate on the product and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Engage with key stakeholders, including customers, prospects, and internal teams, to understand their needs, gather feedback, and communicate product updates.
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and effective sales enablement materials.
    • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions for internal and external audiences.
  • Product Performance and Analytics:
    • Define and track key product metrics, analyze data, and generate actionable insights to measure product performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Monitor market trends, industry standards, and regulatory requirements to ensure the product remains competitive and compliant.
    • Stay up-to-date with advancements in EAM, CMMS, DCIM, ITSM, and ITAM technologies, and apply relevant industry best practices to enhance the product offering.

Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Product Manager in the software industry. A focus on data center management, EAM, CMMS, DCIM, ITSM, or ITAM products is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of data center operations, infrastructure, and management practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of EAM, CMMS, DCIM, ITSM, and ITAM concepts, tools, and technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into user-friendly product features.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing product strategies and roadmaps.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing software products throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management tools.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize competing demands effectively.
